ALTIUS is transporting 21x steel girders, measuring up to 35 meters in length and weighing up to 95 tons, which will be used to build a new bridge on the M-8, M-73 and M-74 freeways in Glasgow-Scotland, UK.<\/p>\n\n

On the loading date (day 12\/08\/2015), the loading operations of the parts took place on board a coastal vessel without its own lifting means in the Spanish port of Seville.<\/p>\n\n

All steel beams and other equipment were loaded on board the vessel in just one day.<\/p>\n\n

ALTIUS’ own team of engineers engineered and came up with the solution to stow and ship all the parts in a single sea voyage thanks to a complex stowage plan, which optimized the available space on the ship.<\/p>\n\n
