Altius, S.A. has completed the first phase of the intermodal transport of 4 steam separators to a Nuclear Power Plant in the interior of France.
In this first stage, during two nights, the teams were transported by road to the port of Santander, an operation that required a great deal of coordination given the high number of obstacles (cables, traffic lights, bridges, traffic signs) due to the 5.82m height of the convoy. Subsequently, they were loaded onto a Roll Trailer and loaded onto a ro-ro vessel bound for Rotterdam, where the second phase of the operation will begin, which will involve river pontoon navigation to France and a land transport of almost 400 km to the final destination.
